[ Story ]

A theater version of a TV drama, based on a Chinese classic, "Saiyuki (Xīyóu Jì)".
Monkey (Sun Wukong)(Katori Shingo), Sandy (Sha Wujing)(Uchimura Teruyoshi), Pigsy (Zhu Bajie)(Ito Atsushi) and Sanzo Hoshi (Xuan Zang)(Fukatsu Eri) are working their way through a desert to go to India(Tenjiku), when they meet Reimi, a princess in the desert country of "虎誠". Sanzo Hoshi (Xuan Zang) and her companions are escorted to the palace, where they are greeted by two tortoises, but in fact, they are the king and the queen, victims of a spell. The country was once lush and green, however, it was all changed into a desert in just one day by Gold Horn and Silver Horn who took everything. Reimi pleads with Sanzo Hoshi (Xuan Zang) to get rid of Gold Horn and Silver Horn. Monkey (Sun Wukong) challenges them, but falls in their trap, while Sanzo Hoshi (Xuan Zang) is sucked into a calabash and captured. Despite the heavy odds, Monkey (Sun Wukong) rescues Sanzo Hoshi (Xuan Zang), and defeats Gold Horn and Silver Horn in an alliance with others. The spell on the king and queen is broken, and peace prevails again.
