[ Story ]
Director Morita Hiroyuki's first feature film, based on a project by Miyazaki Hayao (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away).
High school girl Haru saves a cat from being run over by a truck. The cat stands up like a human, expresses his thanks, and leaves. The cat Haru saved is in fact Lune, Prince of Cat Land, and Haru is invited to the cat kingdom to be rewarded for the favor. Before returning home, Haru has to promise Lune's father, the Cat King, to become Lune's bride. Haru is perplexed, but from somewhere a strange voice calls out to her, and leads her to an office for cats. The head of the office, Baron, listens to her story, and promises to go to the cat kingdom and speak on her behalf. However, the aides of the Cat King appear along with a large group of cats, and Haru is snatched away. In the cat kingdom, where preparations for the wedding ceremony are under way, Haru learns that she, herself, will become a cat if she doesn't escape this place before dawn. However, Baron comes to the rescue, and thanks to his actions Haru can safely return to the world of humans.
